Body and Sew was established in April 2006 as an after school club for the student's of the Auto Body Program at Honolulu Community College and student's in the Employment Training Center Auto Body and Finishing Program as well.

Body and Sew is currently in the process of obtaining Federal 501(c)(3) status, to become an official Non-Profit Corporation.

Our purpose is to teach non-traditional trades and hands-on skills to non-traditional students (i.e. at-risk or alienated youth and/or adults).

The objectives of Body and Sew are simple; to provide the community instruction through classes and seminars in non-traditional trades, to provide a nurturing environment for such students to learn communication and social skills, and to expand and redefine traditional educational and trades programs.
